“The Framework is an attempt to use technology, and to use the scarcity of our resources, to forge a seven-agency intergovernmental collaborative that will hopefully leverage technology to bridge the inter-silo gaps and transactional inefficiencies to deliver customer-centric human services and healthcare programs to the citizens of Illinois in the most economically efficient and technologically optimized way possible.”
Sean Vinck, Chief Information Officer for the State of Illinois
A Planning Team is studying the state’s current service operations to outline the plan for streamlining service and identifying opportunities to create or enhance interoperability among IT systems. Additionally, the Team will propose ways to maximize federal funding opportunities and leverage the state’s other initiatives (MMIS, ILHIE, IES) to position Illinois at the forefront of national standards
Over the next several months, the Planning Team will review the operations of each program, targeting opportunities for federal investments in Illinois. The Planning Team will follow with formal recommendations on improvements in processes and systems to increase efficiency.
