The Child Support Information Data Exchange (CSIDE) continues to explore technical tool development and stakeholder communications in its work to accelerate child support payments through technology. CSIDE, a collaboration between the Illinois Division of Child Support Services and County Circuit Court Clerks to electronically exchange court order data, is currently being piloted in Lake County, and several additional counties are enlisted to begin utilizing CSIDE upon completion of the pilot. Implementation will roll out county-by-county until the project is live statewide, and every county is using efficient, cost-effective electronic information exchanges.
The CSIDE project team held their first outreach webinar for the Pilot and Phase 2 Counties on November 6, 2014. The attendance included representatives from Circuit Courts Clerks and their IT staff, Court Clerk Advocates from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, and State Policy and Project team members. Participants heard from several key partners in the CSIDE project including Richard Ordowich from the federal Office of Chicago Support (OCSE) and Kathleen Monahan, Director of the Illinois Framework. Ordowich and Monahan both expressed their support for the CSIDE project and explained how CSIDE fits in with both Illinois and federal initiatives.
In December, a team from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) gave a demonstration of some development tools they have been working on. HFS development team members and court development staff attended and were excited about the tools and resources.
The next project update webinar will be held on March 26, 2015, from 10:00 – 10:45 am. RSVP to [email protected] for the webinar registration link.
