The Framework will require a great deal of broad-based support from state employees, community-based providers and consumers in order to successfully implement lasting change. The Framework intends to utilize volunteers as part of its change management plan to help increase awareness, understanding and support for the Framework. The Framework will enlist and engage as many Champions as possible over the duration of the project.

What will Framework Champions do?
Framework Champions will be able to choose the activities that best fit their schedules and areas of interest. Champions will be oriented through a leadership development process, and provided with support and materials for their activities.
Champions can indicate their interest in the following activities:
- Promotional Assistance - Invite other state employees, providers and advocates to attend Framework events. Encourage people to sign up for e-mail updates or visit the illinoisframework.org website
- Outreach Events - Identify conferences and gatherings where Framework leaders or staff should be present. Participate on a speakers panel for local events
- In-reach Education - Educate colleagues, clients and partners about the Framework. Share informational materials with colleagues and service-providing partners
- Connecting with Consumers - Recruit consumers (service recipients) to participate in focus groups. Collect stories or testimonials from consumers in support of the Framework.
- In-depth Feedback - Participate on special panels for targeted feedback. Respond to specialized surveys and research activities. Review and comment on draft Framework communication materials
These are only a few of the many ways you can help, but we are eager to hear your ideas. How would you like to support the Framework? E-mail us your comments and suggestions here.
